The NPE variant is additionally equipped with a highly loadable spark gap between zero and protective conductors. The SurgeController is particularly suitable for potential equalization in main and lower distributions, depending on the type in the ranges of TN, TT networks. Thanks to the high performance varistors, the leakage capacity is up to 40 kA (8/20) per pole. The vibration-proof latching and the voltage and type coding ensure safety and avoid confusion between upper and lower parts. The wedge-shaped design of the contacts allows simple insertion and even simpler removal of the upper parts.
