The upper part of the V20 overvoltage arrester made of halogen-free plastic is suitable for overvoltage protection potential compensation according to VDE 0100-443 (IEC 60364-4-44) and serves as a substitute for the V20 SurgeController. A dynamic separation device as well as an optical status display characterize the modularly pluggable arresters. Thanks to the high performance varistors, the leakage capacity is up to 40 kA (8/20) per pole. The vibration-proof latching and the voltage and type coding ensure safety and avoid confusion between upper and lower parts. The wedge-shaped design of the contacts allows simple insertion and even simpler removal of the upper parts.
