TF42 are economical, electromechanical motor protection devices for currents up to 38 A. In case of overload, they offer reliable thermal protection of the connected motors. TF42 are normally mounted on a contactor AF09 to AF38, but with the aid of a single setup set, the devices can also be mounted separately on DIN rails. When the motor current set at the current scale is exceeded, the relays disengage via bimetal elements and thus change the switching position of the two auxiliary contacts 1S/1Ö. An upstream contactor is thereby switched off. The relays allow manual or automatic resetting, they have test and stop function as well as a triggered display. The power scale of the devices is plombable. Accessories such as reset buttons and push buttons complement the range. TF42 have trigger class 10, are temperature-compensated and phase failure-sensitive and have an Atex approval.
